Our Response to COVID-19

Northeast Sight Services

In order to protect the health and safety of our team and the community, Northeast Sight Services had been operating remotely since March.

We continued to serve our clients with the same level of attention and care on a case by case to ensure the most immediate needs of our blind and visually impaired clients were being met.

At this time, Northeast Sight Services is now provide non-emergency care both at its facility and in the home.

In order to minimize the spread of Covid-19 and meet all CDC and Pennsylvania guidelines, Northeast Sight Services is requiring the following of both staff and clients:

o   Wear masks and maintain 6-feet distance whenever possible

o   Screening of temperatures daily – and if temperature is 100.4 or higher, appointments will be rescheduled in preferably 2 to 3 weeks

o   Limit amount of time and number of people who are exposed to one another, with paperwork done virtually prior to appointments, staggered appointments and only one additional person accompanying a client to his/her appointment.

o   Increased disinfecting and sanitation, both within the facility and by staff prior to entering the home or exiting the home

o   When in doubt, reschedule!!!

If unable to follow the procedures as outlined by the agency, contact-less and virtual services will still be offered to all clients, in order to ensure necessary services to those who are blind or visually impaired are still offered.
