The InSight Kids Club of NEPA is a dynamic program created in partnership with Community Services for Sight to bring together blind and visually impaired children for both recreational and instructional experiences. We recognize the importance of helping these children develop the social and daily living skills they need to become independent, confident, and thriving members of the community. Just as importantly, we understand the value of fostering connections with peers who share similar challenges, creating a strong and supportive network.
The InSight Kids Club of NEPA offers a well-rounded experience that blends fun, learning, and community engagement. Program highlights include:
- Family Parties – Bringing families together to celebrate, share and connect
- Technology Trainings – Helping children explore and understand assistive technology
- Family Support Groups – Offering guidance and resources for parents and caregivers
- Fun Field Trips – Encouraging exploration and adventure through engaging outings
In addition, we host monthly programs that give kids the opportunity to bond and participate in exciting activities as a group. From attending Wilkes-Barre/Scranton RailRiders and Penguins games to exploring art and fitness classes, engaging in volunteer projects, and so much more, every experience is designed to be enriching and memorable.
The InSight Kids Club of NEPA is committed to empowering children with vision impairments by providing meaningful opportunities for growth, friendship, and fun!
The InSight Kids Club also offers two structured, educational programs for children who are blind or visually impaired —Camp Sight and Transitioning to Independence.
